Director Marc Copson ditched the comfort of his office to take up the challenge of facing his opponent in the boxing ring at the end of October. In aid of Cancer Research, Marc bravely donned his boxing gloves to hit back against the devastating illness making it through the final round after seeing off his opponent.
You may have noticed that over the last few months we?ve been rolling out our brand new logo and image. It?s a mammoth task to update all of our machinery with the new imagery and we?ve been phasing this in as and when machinery and vehicles are available.
Part of this branding drive is this newsletter itself based on the desire to keep our clients updated and informed with all aspects of MAC Surfacing.
Constantly looking to bring young, talented people into the industry, we have recently taken on two apprentices to add to our surfacing teams.
When it comes to providing critical maintenance for our plant and equipment, we have expanded our service department, bringing the number of plant and HGV mechanics to five. Our new logo has been emblazoned on two new Volvo wheeled P6870C pavers to add to our hire fleet earlier this year as well the addition of three new 1.5 metre planers. This brings our total planer fleet to nine offering a selection of 1 metre, 500mm and 350mm planers. After successfully passing Stage 1 of the National Highways Sector Scheme 16 Accreditation: Laying of Asphalt Mixes, we are due to be assessed for the final stage before the end of the year, which upon successful completion will enable us to expand our services further. Developed in conjunction with all parts of the highways industry and the United Kingdom Accredited Service, the certification is designed to provide an industry benchmark and to give assurance to clients that standards are being consistently applied.
When accidents involving vehicles occur on our road network it almost always results in the need to respond quickly, not only to attend to the injured but to also repair the surface of the road in order to keep the traffic flowing efficiently, preventing congestion and further potential accidents.
At the heart of the West Midlands motorway network, we can be contacted 365 days a year, 24 hours a day to mobilise labour, plant and transport to assist with your emergency demands.
