MAC Surfacing continue their charity drive with MD Mark Hibbert tackling the Ben Nevis Challenge
The Ben Nevis Challenge takes place on Saturday 11th August and Sunday 12th August 2018 and Mark will be scaling the mountain on Sunday the 12th. The Ben Nevis Challenge supports the National Autistic Society
WHAT IS THE BEN NEVIS CHALLENGE?
Since it started the first autism-specific school in the world in 1965, The National Austistic Society has been testing out the best ways to support autistic people of all ages.
Today, they run residential, supported living, community day hubs, outreach, befriending, social groups and employment support services for adults as well as specialist schools, autism centres in mainstream schools and further education support for children and young people.

In August, MD Mark will tackle Ben Nevis, and we found out why.
'Why this particular challenge?' being our first question:
"Well firstly…" Mark opened, "With our company ethos and the fact Jake (Wherton, Director of MAC) Marc (Copson, Director of MAC) and Mark (Copson, Chairman of MAC) have all completed charity challenges- I felt it was definitely my turn!"
"Then, I was looking into possible options and this one stood out to me as something that will be a lot of hard work but also enjoyable and certainly rewarding for both myself personally, and the charity of my choice."
So we asked Mark 'Why support this charity?' and found the answer very close to his heart.
Mark told us:
"It's a cause that means a huge amount to me, as my 10 year old daughter, Lara, has a very severe form of autism herself.
"So, I'm very grateful to the National Autistic Society for the guidance, advice and support received throughout Lara's life. They're the perfect beneficiary."
