Supporting Promise Dreams
Mark Copson, Chairman of MAC Surfacing recently completed the 'Walk for Dreams' for Promise Dreams, a national charity that makes the wishes of children with terminal illness come true.
Mark managed to walk the whole ten miles in three hours and raised a grand total of £5,160!
Promise Dreams has the sole aim of helping terminally and seriously ill children to have their dreams turned into a reality. Whether they would like to spend some time with their family following a prolonged hospital stay, the chance to meet their favourite celebrity, a specialist trike so that they can join in on family bike rides, or house adaptations to make day-to-day life that little bit easier, Promise Dreams are committed to help.
Mark commented:
"At MAC, we've always placed a massive emphasis on our charity and community work, and supporting Promise Dreams meant a great deal to us. To be able to help young people in their most unfortunate of situations is something we feel as a company is a great cause.
"The walk had its gruelling moments, but the support and kind donations from everyone was great motivation to pull through and get it done. I'd like to thank everybody who donated and gave their backing to what we were looking to achieve here- it means a lot to us at MAC and even more to the young people we are helping."
