Measure the area
Use more than one shape where the site is not a single rectangle.

Build up the layers
Estimate compacted asphalt across one or more layers, then check the likely paver class.
Compacted asphalt starting point: 2,400 kg/m³. Change it when project or material evidence gives a better figure.

Set the load assumptions
Allowance and payload affect the planning figure, so neither is hidden.

Check the job fit
The area may be wide while the route onto it is narrow. The area width indicates passes. The narrowest route indicates which paver could reach the job.
