A PF161 was a wheeled machine paving roughly 2.5 m to 4.6 m. That work sits with our Vogele S1303-3i midi and SUPER 1803-3i standard pavers today, both supplied self-drive, operated or as part of a complete package.

Blaw-Knox paver hire: common questions
Can I still hire a Blaw-Knox paver?+
Not from us, and rarely from anyone. The brand was absorbed into Volvo and machines like the BK95 and PF161 have left mainstream hire fleets. The same class of work is covered by our Vogele midi and standard pavers.
What is the modern equivalent of a PF161?+
A wheeled midi or standard paver. In our fleet that is the Vogele S1303-3i and the SUPER 1803-3i, which cover the pave widths a PF161 was hired for. Screed and extensions are confirmed at booking.
Do operators come with the paver?+
They can. Operated hire includes our own trained driver and screwman. Self-drive is available for experienced contractors with a competent crew, and we can coordinate a complete paving package where the job needs more than the machine.
Where do you deliver?+
Our core patch is the West Midlands, roughly 60 miles, where we turn around quickest, and we deliver nationally for larger, longer programmes. Delivery is on our own low-loaders.
