New MD appointed at MAC Surfacing
A message from Marc Copson
Dear friends and colleagues,
Reflecting on my time as Managing Director, which began back in January 2019, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude and accomplishment. Throughout this journey, we've experienced both triumphs and challenges - from navigating through the unprecedented pandemic to coping with escalating fuel costs and the ongoing cost of living crisis.
Despite these hurdles, I prefer to focus on the remarkable achievements we've accomplished together. Our team has grown stronger, presenting us with exciting new opportunities. Personally, I had the privilege of conquering Kilimanjaro, a feat that will forever hold a special place in my heart.
Now, the time has come for me to take a step back and pursue what truly brings me joy, as well as explore other business ventures in the future. It is with great pleasure that I pass on the baton to my trusted friend and colleague, Jake Wherton. Jake's dedication and loyalty have been evident since he joined our family business back in October 2007. Throughout the years, he has contributed significantly to every department, making him exceptionally well-versed in the intricacies of our organization. I have no doubt that Jake will continue to nurture and cherish the business as if it were his own.
As for me, this isn't farewell. I'll be taking on the role of Director of Sales and Marketing at MAC Surfacing, remaining an integral part of the team. However, I will no longer be involved in the day-to-day operations, allowing me to focus on leveraging my strengths in driving the growth and success of our company.
I extend my heartfelt best wishes to Jake as he embarks on this new chapter as Managing Director. With his leadership and the collective efforts of our exceptional team, I am confident that the future of MAC Surfacing is in capable hands.
Thank you all for your unwavering support and dedication, which have made my time as Managing Director an unforgettable experience. Let's continue to thrive and make MAC Surfacing an even greater success.
