Road planings guide
A planings figure depends on the application, roughly how many tonnes you need, where it is going and how it will be delivered. Use this checklist before you compare quotes.

A useful planings quote starts with what the material is for, roughly how many tonnes you need, where it is going and when you need it. Those facts change the figure more than a generic product line.
This is a checklist, not a price list. MAC will still confirm suitability, availability and a practical delivery plan with you.

Give a volume or tonne figure, even if it is approximate. A quote for a small scattered load is not the same as a quote for one bulk drop.
The delivery site and the area around it matter. Demand and travel in that geography change how practical the drop is.
Planings come from live planing works, not a warehouse catalogue. Ask whether the volume and timing can actually be held.
MAC can load and deliver with its own tippers. Ask whether delivery is in the figure and whether the tipper can get in.
One large drop to one site is a better job than lots of small drops to many sites. Ask how the quote treats that.
» What to watch for
MAC would rather deliver one large drop to one site than lots of small loads to many sites. The geography, the demand in that area and the tonne figure all sit behind the quote.
Availability follows real programmes. A cheaper-looking promise that ignores timing is not a like-for-like quote.
Planings can work as hardstanding or a sub-base. They are the wrong first choice if you need a neat, marked, customer-facing finish.
Twenty small deliveries are not the same job as one large drop. The quote should show that difference.

Use this for an early tonne figure. It does not confirm stock, suitability or a delivery plan.

MAC's role: planing and wider car park work
MAC planed the existing car park surface and carried out wider refurbishment work, including drainage, kerbs, surfacing and line marking.
This case study shows planing work that recovers material. It does not show a standalone planings supply and delivery quote.
