The honest position
We run pavers from mini machines for footpaths and tight access, through midi pavers for car parks and estate roads, up to standard pavers for carriageways. You do not need to know the model names: tell us what you are surfacing and we will match the machine.
Most jobs outside the surfacing trade suit operated hire, where our own driver and screwman run the machine, or the complete package where we bring the supporting kit and crew as well.

Tarmac laying machine hire: common questions
What is a tarmac laying machine actually called?+
A paver, sometimes a paving machine. It spreads and levels asphalt to a set width and depth, and a roller compacts the surface behind it.
Do I need to operate it myself?+
No. Most customers take operated hire, where our own trained driver and screwman run the machine, or the complete package where we bring the supporting kit and crew as well. Self-drive is only for experienced paving crews.
What size of machine does my job need?+
It depends on the width and tonnage. Mini pavers suit footpaths and tight access, midi pavers suit car parks and estate roads, and standard pavers suit carriageways. Tell us what you are surfacing and we will match the machine.
Do you lay the tarmac as well?+
We can. Alongside hire we deliver surfacing work with our own crews, including commercial car park resurfacing. Tell us the job and we will point you at the right route.
