We ran the Volvo P6870C ourselves, a strong wheeled paver for wide and deep work on difficult ground. It has now left the fleet, so we no longer hire Volvo pavers out, and we would rather be straight about that than dress it up.

The honest position
The work it was hired for is covered today by our Vogele SUPER 1803-3i and SUPER 1803-5 X, wheeled universal-class pavers in the same bracket. Every machine is ours, maintained in our own workshop and supplied through self-drive hire, operated hire or a complete surfacing package.

Volvo paver hire: common questions
Do you still hire out Volvo pavers?+
No. We ran the Volvo P6870C ourselves, but it has left the fleet. The same class of work is now covered by our Vogele SUPER 1803-3i and SUPER 1803-5 X wheeled pavers, supplied with our own crews and workshop back-up.
What replaces the Volvo P6870C for wide or deep pave?+
A wheeled universal-class paver. Our Vogele SUPER 1803 machines pave from a 2.55 m basic width, with extensions available for wider schemes, and lay up to 300 mm thickness. Screed and extensions are confirmed at booking.
Do operators come with the paver?+
They can. Operated hire includes our own trained driver and screwman. Self-drive hire is available for experienced contractors with a competent crew and we can coordinate a complete surfacing package where the job needs more than the machine.
Where do you deliver?+
Our core patch is the West Midlands, roughly 60 miles, where we turn around quickest, and we deliver nationally for larger, longer programmes. Delivery is on our own low-loaders.
